The last Blog from Branson

Okay, last one, I just couldn't resist. After Silver Dollar City closes, there is a country music show in a big outdoor auditorium. The girls put on a show of their own. I'm not sure if the people sitting near us thought the girls were cute, or just annoying, but who cares?! They had a blast!

The Fish Hatchery

On our last day in Branson, we discovered a Fish Hatchery maintained by the Missouri Department of Conservation. Once we heard they had "free" tours, it sounded like an even better idea. We didn't end up taking the tour, but just wandered around and let the kids feed the fish. They had a lot of fun (and it didn't cost us a dime!).

Ride the Ducks

There is a company in Branson called "Ride the Ducks" that takes tours through Branson and into TableRock Lake on an amphibious vehicle (aka "the duck"). We decided to do the tour and the kids had a great time. They love the Wacky Quackers they were given (they make a really annoying quacking sound)! Saige and Micheala even got to drive the boat!

Our Trip to Branson

I've only been at this blogging thing for a little over a week now, and I must admit, I'm an addict. During our whole trip to Branson, I kept thinking "I can't wait to blog that picture". Now that we're home, I've got to get my "fix". So here are a bunch of picts from Silver Dollar City. The kids had a great time!

The "After" pictures

My good friend Kathleen was kind enough to try to "fix" the girls' hair the next day. With multiple bald spots, and missing bangs to contend with- I think she did a GREAT JOB!

The Lineup

Last Friday night, I was at work and John had put the kids to bed. He went back up about an hour later just to check on them....and this is what he found. The girls initially decided they wanted to look like warriors, so they took markers (washable ones fortunately) and colored on every bit of exposed skin-this part was Saige's idea. Then Micheala had the fun idea to play beauty shop! I wish i could have been a fly on the wall of their room, I bet they had a great time! i can just picture them trimming, giggling, looking in the mirror, trimming and giggling some more. They had a ball until Daddy entered the room....There are moments as a parent that you yell, you cry, then you laugh. This is definitely one of those moments. After an extended stay in time out, a bath, and a good nights rest, we got to the laughing part of it all. Now that I've told the story about 100 times, all I can do is laugh every time I tell it!

Saige's Springtime Play

Saige's Kindergarten class put on their last play of the year yesterday, I tried to load the video to our blog but I think the file is too big. Here are some pictures!

Micheala's preschool graduation

Micheala graduated from Preschool to Kindergarten today. She was soooo proud of herself, and we are sooooo proud of her!

Our new favorite toy

We just bought this new "ride on" toy online that we love! No batteries, no pedals, it moves due to the centrifugal (sp?) force you create by moving the handles back and forth. It works great on our kitchen floor and it is sturdy enough for adults! (The kids love it too!)

Water fun!

Yesterday, I was watering our flower beds when the kids got off the school bus. They initially wanted me to spray just their feet with water, but you can see from the pictures they had way more fun than that!!

Who could resist this face??

He looks so innocent doesn't he? My days are now spent chasing after little Wyatt, making sure he doesn't jump off the cabinets, keeping him out of the fireplace, making sure he doesn't choke on a Starburst (again!), and keeping him from eating dirt. We love our little boy!

Our newest additions

In November, John and I completed our foster parent license. Ten days later, Mariah and Micheala joined our family. They have been with us for six months now, and are a great addition to the family! Here's a picture of the three girls around Christmas time dancing on our coffee table to the SpongeBob Squarepants song.

Aren't they so cute! This picture was taken in November, Saige was five at the time and Wyatt had just turned one.

Our entrance into the blogging world!

We finally did it! The Carlson Family officially has their first blog!
